That BFD presentation was great! Dont forget the option of taking the cordless sawzall with a bi-metal/demo blade to make quick work of those shields. If you can cut it open using an axe the sawzall will do it without the beating!
I should have started that last post, It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, the City was saying deficit and we were pleading for food stamps!
Excellent information THANKS TO ALL!
We sell a metal cutting circular saw that I would love to try in this material. I’ll film the results (good or bad) and post a link here. Any way to get my hands on a VPS window section (Atlanta area)? If this were 1/4″ steel, we could cut it in less than a minute..
Great info! My response area doesn’t have this yet, but thanks for the heads up.
At the bottom fo the FDNY presentation they talk of a training video to come soon on VPS. Hopefully someone will share it here on VES!
If they make a video I will send it along. Im sure some ghetto engineering will come in to play. I saw a bunch of cut up and destroyed VPS panels at the Rock over early summer.
wow … I guess i need to pay more attention. Up here anything is possible, people will try any means neccessary to secure their properties. thanks for the info I will bring it back to my department
Do you have a link for the “Pass it on Program”
Further info from this venue would be great!
