It is natural for us to assume that every property we respond to has the possibility of being occupied, but what about the not so conventional dwellings? Scott Lyons from FDNY TL-79 has an interesting story to share. Check out the supplemental page for details.

this is not uncommon in the south and these pictures show a high class condo to some of the laydown spots (residence) of certain citizens. although they may not appear to they have a story to tell and may not be what they seem. it is amazing what background and how they ended up at this point. some want to be there and others don’t. Please remember it is the same as yours HOME. which brings me to a BASIC point of who owns the property when F.D. is called. we do because of govt. working on private property. so lets remember to treat it like this is ours and all we got. one mans junk is another mans treasure. 1st entry but not the first reading of site. awsome
Just a bunch of guys waiting for Schumers bill to pass so they can drive that rig to work! Never underestimate the ingenuity of Firemen and illegal immigrants!

We have seen homeless people living in vacant Box style rail cars here in Baltimore City in the B&O Rail property. The Box Cars are set up just like a apartment with numerous people living in them. We have had a recent fire inside one of them with heavy fire on arrival.
