Jimm Walsh, owner and webmaster here at vententersearch.com will be presenting From the Jump Seat to the Front Seat on Thursday March 3rd in Gilford, New Hampshire. The class is being hosted by the Fire Instructors and Officers Association of New Hampshire. This extremely motivational and informative class will focus on much more than basic leadership principles. While there are some basics of leadership that are applicable for any rank, this class will cover some specific principles for each rank from the bottom to the top. The Fire Instructors & Officers Association of New Hampshire is looking forward to hosting this seminar, and welcomes any interested firefighters to register and attend. You don’t need to be from NH or a member of FIOANH.
Gilford is a beautiful town in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, so come to New England, enjoy a great class and Brotherhood, then take advantage of our record snowfall this year at Gunstock Ski Area, just around the corner from the class!
Seriously, please help us get the word out obout this class. If anyone needs further information feel free to contact me at your convenience.
Be safe!
Chris Johnson
Vice President, FIOANH
I will see you there! Thanks for coming into out neck of the woods to talk with us!

Cant make that trip since Im in the Pittsburgh area (You know, where our team won in the playoffs)
I loved Jimm’s –
“If it ain’t broke….it’s never been used.”
and
“Shorten Your Response Time – From The Sack To Fire Attack.”
😉
Dman; Please Donkey Kick yourself.
With love and affection……a life long Jets fan. 🙁
This IS in my first due area and I will be attending!
Ok, it is out of my first due area… But it is in my state. Either way I will be there.
I can’t BELIEVE I missed a “first due area” comment opportunity!
Am I first due if I can almost hit the place it’s being held from my house with a thrown rock? 😀
DMAN – We all have our moments. Don’t beat yourself up over it. Just be glad it wasn’t a D.K. comment opportunity.
Like they say, complacency kills! If you aren’t ready to make a comment, you shouldn’t be surprised when someone else does.
Hi All,
Just wondering if you are bringing this class to Massachusetts anytime soon? Thanks, Smitty
@ Scott, you’ll have to get rid of all of that snow first! 🙂 Seriously though, we can bring the program anywhere you’d like. Just shoot us an email to jimm(at)vententersearch.com and we can discuss some options. -Jimm-
We still have seats available, so if you haven’t signed up for Jimm’s seminar yet you can still download the flyer and registration form at http://www.fioanh.org.
Hope to see all of you in NH! Be safe!

An excellent class by an excellent instructor, well worth the time!
GREAT CLASS I WOULD RECOMEND IT TO ANYONE! NICE WORK JIM! AND THANK YOU TO GILFORD FIRE AND FIOANH FOR YOUR HOSPITALITY. 2 HR DRIVE WAS SO WORTH IT! THANKS AGAIN
Thanks to everyone who travelled from near & far to attend the seminar. We were very pleased to have 100 attendees!
Jimm did an outstanding job for us (with the possible exception of his Red Sox ignorance, but we’ll forgive that in a few… decades). Seriously, he was extremely easy to work with. If anyone is looking for some top-notch leadership training I’d definately seek him out!
And now for the selfish plug…
Our annual Firefighter Safety & Survival Symposium will be on May 26th in Concord, NH. This year we’re very excited to be presenting “Close Calls Close To Home”. Several close call survivors, their company officers & Incident Commanders will be discussing their cases in a roundtable forum. We always make a donation to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation following the symposium. Please watch our website, http://www.fioanh.org and join us on Facebook for more info on the symposium. Registrations will be available soon!
Thanks again to Jimm and everyone who made yesterday’s class such a huge success!
As always, be safe!
