Firefighter Stephen Steele from Milton Fire sent in this funny photo. The first picture is of a typical elevator lobby. The second picture is of the same lobby with a close-up of the sign above the extinguisher. Either the sign installer had a great sense of humor, or they were simply as dumb as a box of rocks. Haha! But i think what they meant was not to use the elevator in case of fire. They might have just placed the sign in the wrong place. Oh well…
Has anyone thought that maybe that sign is for the extinguisher?? We put fire extinguishers in every building to satisfy codes that are in place. What we dont want are people trying to be hero’s. We (my district) would rather have everyone exit the building quickly then to stop and try to put the fire out. Nothing worse than having to search for a victim because they didnt know what they were doing and got caught up in the moment! Most people have an issue with this, but the let the fire department put the fire out and save yourself.
Like stated earlier. It was probably meant for the elevator. Still a funny picture though.
