We are currently testing a new diamond tipped rotary saw blade provided by D.T.I and Tempest Technologies. The preliminary reports indicate this blade is capable of cutting wood, concrete and metals. We’re in the process of testing it out and will have a full report in the near future.
If any manufacturers or reps have products they would like us to test and review please feel free to contact us via email.
As for the blade…I would be interested in the time results of the test. Most multi-purpose blades seem to be “jacks-of-all-trades”, “masters of none”. Especially when it come to vent work (too slow).
I was wondering how your making out with your test of the blades and saws. I was just reading my Aug issue of Fire Rescue Mag. And read about a blade called Black Star made by Cutters Edge. In the article they never mention RPM’s . So I’m wondering if you guys have any experience with these blades. The guy that wrote the article says these blades are out lasting his others 50 times longer. WOW !!! I’m impressed . Anyone else know of these blades ?? And can the blade be used in any type rotary saw ?
We recently tested the MK Fire Tiger Tooth. The blade was awesome cutting everything but wood. For roof jobs we use the Warthog and it as proven to be tough to beat.
