Can't Find the Windows

Brian Spina from Baltimore City Truck 18 sent in these pictures of a structure in East Baltimore. The structure is a 3 story building at the end of a block of structures. It appears that the structure houses a night club on the first floor; it is unknown what occupancies exist on the second of third floors. Besides the obvious spreader stars that signify the structure needed additional support to prevent the walls from leaning out, take a look at the widows on the second and third floors.

The alpha side second floor is pictured below.

The alpha side third floor is pictured below.

The alpha side shows that the windows on the second floor are totally blocked from the inside, and the windows on the third floor are partially blocked. It appears that there are fully studded out walls on inside of the windows.

The bravo side is pictured below.

The charlie side is pictured below.

This set-up creates an undesirable situation on the second floor. The absence of windows could possibly delay the notification of the fire, and prevent the ability of the fire to auto vent. Crews would be faced with a high heat situation and possible disorientation since they would be “expecting” to find windows on the alpha side.
