This is a recovered post:
I believe this post discussed the multiple uses of a simple piece of webbing. Pictured above is a convenient way of storing webbing in the removable knee pad found in many styles of bunker pants. Other webbing tips can be found in the Tips from the Bucket Page. –Jimm-

Webbing has many uses on the fireground I store a 20 ft section in one knee and a 10 ft section in the other. Some of the many uses include controlling or securing doors, tying off tools for ventilation or hoisting, harnesses for victims or firefighter rescue, hose work as hose tools for handles for advancement just to name a few. Webbing has become essential equipment for all firefighters to carry and this is a great way of storage to free up pocket space as well as a little added protection for your knees. Great suggestions Jimm JP

Great use for webbing! Not too mention it pads the knees for crawling (or promotions!!). It comes in handy on extrications also. If you only flap the roof without completely removing it, use it to tie the roof down. I would also like to mention that you have lovely hands Jimm!

Jimm , I also noticed how soft and clean your hands looked. At first I thought it was a “wedding ring advertisement”.
