Truck functions are being performed at every fire, whether your assigned to an apparatus with an aerial device or not. This class is a forty-hour hands on training session that develops a sound understanding of Truck Company Operations. Students will start with the basics and understand the “whys” of Truck work. Truck Company Functions require self-thinking firefighters, making split second decisions. This class will help guide those motivated firefighters when making critical fireground decisions. Skills covered- Forcible Entry, Trough the Lock Entry, Passive Entry, Oriented Primary Search, Split Primary Search, Vent Enter Search (VES), Pitch Roof Ventilation, Flat Roof Ventilation and Ground Ladders.
